Pilmoor Preschool is a ministry of Pilmoor UMC

Since 1986 we have grown to include 38 students, 3 classes, and 7 staff members under the supervison of the Pastor, the pre-school director, and the pre-school committee.  

Our school is well known and respected within the community and beyond for serving the needs of pre-school children and their families.

THE CURRICULUM

Our curriculum is consistent with our philosophy of being a developmentally appropriate center.

Our "Kindergarten Readiness" program is designed through the use of learning centers via a variety of weekly/monthly themes and concepts.

Evaluations of children's' progress are conducted once a year for 2 year olds and twice a year for children 3 and 4.

 THE PROGRAM

Weekday programs run from the first Tuesday in September thru the third Thursday in May.

We offer three programs with a limited number of spaces in each program:

  

• 14 positions each for our 3-day three year old program and 4-day four year program  

 

• 10 positions in our 2-day two year old program

 

• The 4-day program runs Monday thru Thursday

• 3-day program runs Monday thru Wednesday

• 2-day program is Tuesday & Wednesday

 

Children in our 3&4 year program must be potty trained and skilled in tending to their personal hygiene
